Sightlines // Experimental Theatre
Sightlines was a show I designed as an Honors project at the University of New Mexico. This was a two 20-minute light shows.
Part One I designed without my glasses and the thesis board, and myself, watched the show with perfect vison. Part Two was designed with my glasses and watched without perfect vision. This was achieved by giving each member of my thesis board a pair of my glasses, R132, and R119.
This was an interesting project as I have a -5 prescription and astigmatism in both eyes. As a lighting designer, I have always been curious on how my vision, and blurry vision, effects my work. For this project, I researched how the eyes work, how our eyes see light, and other artists with imperfect eyes.
